Altima Air Conditioning Problem

My Altima AC is intermittent. Most of the time the compressor will come on for about 10 seconds and that will be it. I have checked the charge and it is good. I also can jumper the switch on the dryer and make the compressor come online and everything works. What can I do to fix the problem?

Sounds like a bad switch, perhaps. You're bypassing the switch with your jumper, correct?

I am not sure what switch is on top of the dryer. It has four wires?
