Altima a\c please help

I need help trying to figure out the problem my ac is having. what happen was it just stopped working I was driving and it was working fine and i turned it off and later turned it on and it was not longer blowing cold air . the compressor comes on and everything seem to be working normal but it no cold air. Baring the a\c line broke and all the refrigerant leaked out is there something i could check or a problem unrelated compressor

wow, couldn't wait more than 10 hours before becoming impatient and asking again.....

anyway, if the system was exposed to open air via the broken hose then you have a number of things to do....

1. Replace broken hose

2. Have the ac system evacuated

3. Install new receiver/dryer

4. replace all associated o-rings with new ones

5. Have the system refilled with new compressor oil and r134a freon

Some of this you should be able to diy, but I don't think you can get away without going to a mechanic for the evac and refill.


Also if all the freon leaked out the compressor clutch probably isn't engaging.
