Big thing is to look at the hood on the 350Zs. the 07-09 Zs have the VQ35HR. There's very little a CVT VQ AC w/ bolt ons will do against a stock one of those, much less if he had any bolt ons (exhaust, x pipe, etc). They're super quick. Many of the Z guys around my town argue that they're faster than the 370s. I haven't researched that claim much.
05-06 350Zs have the VQ35DE "RevUp" motor. They're tweaked a bit from the original 03-04 models. I know that this motor is closest to the VQ AC's configuration. My guess is an 3.5AC with some bolt ons (though suspension mods and wheels and tires would go farther than intake and exhaust in our case) can handle this configuration, though this particular gen of 350Zs are plagued with issues compared to the other models. There are known oil consumption problems with these motors amongst other things.
I know for a fact that we VQ drivers can handle the 03-04 Zs with little if any mods. I raced a dude with a couple mods on his 04 350, but he had big chrome wheels on it and his GF was bigger than my GF at the time , and I took him out from a dig. He was a stick and wasn't the greatest, but even after he got going I was still pulling on him. I had two cars on him at about 65 MPH.
Anyway, moral of the story is, anyone that starts accelerating a couple seconds before you do is probably going to get a huge advantage on you if you are in a similar performance range. I'd rerun it and see how do you
