Has anyone tried the "Rs style" exhaust for the 2.5? Also do you think if it fits fine on a 2.5 sedan would it fit the coupe also?

I don't know about anyone that has tried that particular exhaust, but the Coupe is 2 inches shorter in overall length than the sedan, so the exhaust won't fit without modification. An exhaust shop can cut it up and make it work for you, but I'm not sure you'd want to spend the money on it just to spend more to make it fit. It'll cost you more in the long run and you'll wish you had just bought something designed for the coupe in the first place. My 2 cents from experience.

Thank you I really wasn't sure I thought they'd both be the same , but yeah I see your point it wouldn't be worth it for the money I'm spending to make it fit I could get a better exhaust .. Now the question is I don't know if I was a pre fabricated one or custom, which would be the least amount of $$$$

custom will always be cheaper but harder to get an idea of what sound you would get.. look up the "top speed pro 1" its cheap and is a replica of the GReddy Ti-C which I bought for a ridiculous amount of money haha

Yeah I've looked into the too speed but I hate how the tips are uneven and I'm unsure on how to correct that problem

My tips were uneven when I first got my Stillen exhaust and I just told the exhaust shop guy whatever they're called to make it even on both sides. He just heated the curve part before the tips and just pushed it to make it even.

depends on what you are looking for in regards to performance or just sound. I have a '09 2.5 and was running a custom magnaflow set up. 2.5" pipes with 3" dual mufflers hi-flow cats and a glasspack to kill the drone on the highways. It sounds aggressive but not to the point where you'll get unwanted attention. I recently added the stillen header and that made the tone deeper but still sporty (not riced out) and gave it some much needed horsepower and torque. So again it all depends on your taste and goal for the car.

I went the custom route , with 2.5 piping and 3 inch n1 style mufflers. It came out to $280 with labor and parts . I love the sound of it , not to loud, deep and aggressive ,and not a ricey honda sound. Next up for me are he stillen headers after I install my eibachs

I did similar. 3 inch downpipe and mid pipe y'd out to 2.5 inch pipe with dual dc sports mufflers. Its really deep and a littke too loud. I bought a vibrant resonator to quiet it down a bit. Next its headers and high flow cats

I'm not sure if I understand correctly what you mean by the downpipe (3") -- usually that's just after the header and before the main length that runs from around the front doors to the rear. However, I can say that from experience with exhausts, a 3" downpipe for your 2.5L non turbo engine, and 2.5" each for the "Y" to the tail is too oversized, i.e. you end up slowing the exhaust velocity (which hurts any possible scavenging 'gains') and will actually be losing much more power, especially at the bottom end, from a stop etc. Of course, it's hard to tell from the butt dyno if it's a dozen or so HP, but that's that.

You want the main pipe coming down the chassis to be 2.5" at most without a turbo, and then the "Y" split to be 2" diameter going to each muffler. If you're planning to run a turbo for your 2.5L then what you have is ok, otherwise, no, you would be better off going down 0.5" overall .

Yes I understand what you are saying. No turbo is not in the plan, however, the motor is going to go through some changes that requires this size. Now backpressure I measured befor exhaust modifications was 5.5lbs. With the new midpipe and tailpipe the backpressure is 4.3lbs. For best performance with the modifications I plan on the back pressure needs to be about 2lbs. I have yet to ventur past the cats so I havent touched the downpipe I mis spoke. Just wanted to clarify my plans and why I went so big
