My buddy is an owner of a Prelude and he's been wanting me to run my 2.5 against his. We finally got some good weather so I think we'll be giving it a shot today. I'm trying to get a hold of a camera so i can get a video, but meanwhile any predictions?

hmm, his v-tec at high rpms might give you problems, but if you speed shift you can reduce the lag between shifts and either give him a run for his money or whoop his ***. their torque has never been at nissans par, so as long as you leave his *** in the dirt from the jump you're good... I smoked a CLS LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! from the redllight til the second block where there was a big *** truck parked in his lane hahahahaha he would've smoked me had we gone any longer but from the jump he was mine and all the way until we finished... I thought he would've sh*tted on me but he didn't... it was weird. but he got smoked, and his engine was howlin... but mine drownin his whinin. hahaha

off the line, I would say you'd have it due to the piss poor low end torque that Honda had/has with its engines

However, with 190-200 horses and the fact that its lighter (~2900 lbs vs 3142) I think it would own an A/C 2.5 in a 1/4 mile!

ok, no jokes about debadging 2.5s just because you have a bigger engine

I appreciate it MANE. By the way, you think the black ADR propulsions would look clean on a white coupe?

a prelude is a a good win but the trick with hondas are the hatches

like a 89 hatch with a b20 non vtec head of course

in hondaland it can take a "350z"

no but seriuously those hatches are quick any preditcions on a race between a/c 2.5 and a b20 or b18 hatch?

i think it will come down to who is the better driver.my gsr was running 14.7 and only put down 145whp (mustang dyno) with bolt-onsthe prelude should run around 15.0-15.3 if he can drive and it being stock.

I can already tell you that. I own a 2.5 and my brother have a 99 Honda Civic Hatch with a B18c1 (GSR) and it destroyed me....hahaha.

For the 2.5 vs. Prelude. The Prelude will win unless he is a bad driver.

ya the hatch is what you have to worry about. 50% of them are nothing and i'd take them in my 3.5se but some of them are pretty quick. my friend's friend took his 92 hatch with a GS-R motor in it to the track and ran a 13.5 with slicks, i don't know what he'd run with no slicks.... and they say it was a pretty much stock GS-R motor.

Well there was no need for any modifications. I beat him by at least 2 cars. 2.5's prevail. I got 1 video that will be posted up later on today.

lol 50% of hatches are soooooooooooo slow and the other 50% are possibly faster then the 3.5se. if its a stock hatch then it has 70 hp (CX) or 90 HP (VX) or i think like 115 or 125 for the Si lol but then when they do engine swaps and turbos and all that good stuff they become a lot faster because they weigh like nothing...... i'd still take a 3.5se any day and even a 2.5s lol
