Alternator Wiring Problem Help please

!985 300zx non turbo. I have a wire broken to the Alternator don't know where it goes.Theres a big plug in the middle it hooked up. Then there is a ground wire it hooked up. now there is a bigger wire that looks like it the hot wire with bolt on post its hooked up. But there is another small wire that I don't know where it goes.Its in the same wiring harness with the big hot wire.

hmmm... did it break off the plug? I think the harness plug has 2 wires in it, and then it should just be the power,a nd ground leads, on a turbo car the alt is on the pass side, near the oil sender but the wire would be in a different harness, the alt harness is it's own sub harness coming from the drivers side, check taht plug for broken wires

Not broken off the plug . the alt. will not stat charging until you reave up the engine and it shows charging at 15 to 16 amps. Danny

Could it be the wire to the condensor it was broken off but the new alt. has it going to the hot post or the alt.

Also the new alt don't start charging till I reve the RPM up high then it shows charging 15 amps. If the broken wire goes to the condencer then should I wire it to the wiring horness or to the hot post on the alt.? Danny

Fixed that exra wire went to th condencer for the radio. Just taped it up and the hell with it . working fine. Thanks Danny
