Hey cool your from Yakima, I lived there in 98'. I like it there. Are you doing some custom stuff? What alternator and what car are you putting in? The wires are pretty straight forward, there are only three connections: the plug, negative and positive.I mean the only bolt sticking up/out either from the top or back of the alternator is for the positive wire. The bigger/thicker wire with the larger loop and sometimes capped with a red hood is the Positive wire. Just slip the positive cable loop over the bolt and reuse the nut to hold it down. The negatiive is the thinner/smaller black one that usually connects to the back of the alternator by putting the screw through the loop and screwing it into the back of the alternator (usually more than than one place to do that, your choice). I was going to attach some pics but image shack is down for maintenance. I'll try again later. Good luck and be more specific about what your doing or trying to do. The search (up there, last link on the right, just above google) You can find a lot of stuff on alternators with pictures and tips.
