alternator whining?

i just got done putting everything back together. But the thing is there's a loud whine coming from the alternator, i dont know what it is. Could ground cause it? Or maybe my belt is on too tight? Or the alternator might be shot. I have a sound clip if anyone wants to hear

I woud loosed the belt some and see if that helps! If that don't help, I would then loosen the belt and see if it stops. If not, take the alternator off and have it checked for voltage irregularities. And if you have time for that crap, just get another one (I have two extras).
