Alternator upgrade

I just went an order an alternator.

Order an 250 amp for '01 pathfinder from mechman.

I should receive it within 7 business day.

With my current system - at peak, the volts drop to ~11 volts.

Question about the BIG 3 -

Is there enough room to increase the size of the wire to 0 Gauge from Alternator to Battery or just add addition 4 gauge wires.
