Ok my car has been "Resting" till I get the pink slip in the mail from DMV. Every so often I take out down the street just to move the car. Well I did the swap and I thought everything was cool till the car would sputter and die. Come to find out that the battery is not getting charged. The car was running off the battery :(

I double triple check the wiring and I can't see anything wrong with it. I took the alternator down to AutoZone to get tested and it's noting putting out enought power to power a flash light :( crap so I'm goin to rebuild it. Got it done yesterday, put it on last night and same crap!!! only 12.2 volts and it's not goin up. Took it for a spin and the volts went to 12.0 lol. Had to turn the lights on. I'm running the RB lower harness not the KA. I looked at the my old KA alternator and saw the diffrence and didn't feel like messing with it. I'm getting it droped back off at the shop for them to check out the rebuild.

Anyone else have this kinda problem with there swap? or was it just me?

I know you checked over your wiring already but when I first hooked up mine up There are two pinks wires on the lower RB harness. One is for a P/S switch and the other is for the Alternator. Make sure you have the right one hooked up.

There are several connections, make sure you have them all. The ground, the plug connection, and main power wire..make sure everything is grounded properly..etc. The usual stuff. If it tests ok, then your wiring must be off.

I'll double check the pink wires, maybe I got them mixed up. The Alternator tested bad at the auto parts store tho. Don't know, I guess I'll start over again sunday with the wiring make sure I didn't miss anything again.

Where do these pink wires go? I just looked at the instructions that I had and no pink wires were mentioned?

i had a problem with my alternator and at first it was the white wire and red line on it.. then it was the alternator that was bad.. so i extended the bottom hole on my rb bracket and made it come down and installed my ka alternator on it.
