I recently installed a KA24DE refurbished alternator onto my S13 Sr20 blacktop. The alternator went bad after a few weeks and now I'm trying to take it off. I had to drill out the hole so the tension bolt (the one with the large head) would fit through the alternator, and it was a tight fit. Now it won't come out at all and the alternator is stuck in there. I tried to hammer it out, so now the bolt is flush with the alternator bracket....

Any ideas????

get a smaller bolt and hammer out the stuck bolt.

sounds like u didn't drill the hole big enough. try that though, seems like a simple solution to a simple problem

I put a 95 referbished alternator on my car like on Tuesday. Im a little curious what caused your alternator to go bad. any ideas? I really would not like that to happen to me.
