So my previous post was about a whining sound. Turned out to be the alternator was toast. I know about the quest conversion but those are a bit out of my price range. I was comparing it and its mounting holes are very similar to a q45 alternator. I was wondering if anyone knew about fitting? The q is a bit bigger but not too big I don't think. Or if anyone knows of another replacement that would be more available in the local junkyard because there is not a single quest there. Thanks for input.

Look for the 125 amp alternator, it bolts directly up pretty much after you drill the bottom hole bigger!

Thats what I did. But you will still need some sort of a mount conversion. There was a guy who was selling them on here for dirt cheap. Do a search.

FYI, the one I got was only 110 A, but that's still plenty.
