Alternator Question???

Ok, I got a reman on Ebay....It looks the same as my '92 240sx but the back of the case is bigger, the thread and bolt sizes are different and there's a slight mismatch on the alinement. I made it work but wondering wtf it actually fits!! Not a '92!! Any ideas? Thanks, Ron

this one is tricky to answer without actually holding it in my hand...i would say cross check the part numbers to see if the amps and volt spects match..and to find out if the regulators are the same...if the regulators built into the altinator are different..it may couse wierd electrical issues..do some reaserch and get back to us here bro..good luck
