i have a 93 infiniti g 20 and when i start it up all the dash lights come on then go off as soon as it hits proper idle. now the problem is that as soon as i raise rpms the lights slowly come back on. also the battery is bubbling over like it is being overcharged but i read the multimeter and its charging properly. i am thinking the diodes in the alternator are bad and making it go crazy. do you guys have any imput. thanx. i apreciate all the help i can get.

At this point, you need both a brand new battery AND alternator, best to use genuine Infiniti parts from Joe at Infiniti of Scottsdale for great discounts

Most after market alternators are not overhauled to Nissan standards. Quite often the old diodes remian wih slightly cleaned internals.

But if you don't care if you do the job again soon.......

i have never had any problems with anyone returning any of the standard motor products we sell. they are done to better than oem specs and i know this cus of the meeting we had with the reps. now i know autozone and csk auto carry less than stellar electrical components but standard is the best.
