alternator question I

I own a 1994 j30 the engine is the same one for the 1994 nissan maxima the only difference I can see in the alternators for both vehicles is about 70$ after core. Will the maxima alternator fit in my j30 ?

I can't say with certainty both share the same alternator (maybe someone else can chime in?). I would however advise to stick with a Nissan OEM remanufactured or new alternator. Aftermarket ones are known to cause problems on the J.

First Ive heard the engine is the same as the same year Maxima.The Same year 300zx n/a is the same though.

i am currently running an alternator out of a 96 maxima...however i had to buy a different plug and splice it into the original one as well as make a mounting bracket for it...

I can copy stuff in my back yard foundry(Sand casting)but don't have the stuff to fab parts .. yet

Waiting till my boy Graduates college before I can throw more money into the shop.

lol it wasnt anything pretty...just some sheet metal and a cutting wheel on my dye grinder...im picking a spare set of lights up 2morrow morning so i i can smoke them out...im just wondering how i can do it evenly since i dont want to completely black them out u know...this should be interesting...BTW pics will be posted when im finished

I'm getting some soon to put some HID's with angel eyes in.Should be a fun project.

I just put the j30 alternator in to it. Spent 200 dollars on alternator just to drive the car next day and get rearended totaled the damn car -.- wish I had saved my $$ on alternator
