Alternator pivot bolt for S14 SR20det

Everyone,

I have been trying to find out where to get the pivot bolt for the alternator for the S14 sr. I have asked several sr shop and all they say is they don't know and ask me to go on the forum and see if anyone is parting out motor. I am wondering if the FWD SR20de uses the same alternator and bolts. If so, then I will just order from the dealership.

Need it badly, my car cannot be driven because of this.

During an overhaul, I recently couldn't find the pivot bolt for my alternator on a KA24E. I used an old (Escort) head bolt (10 x 1.5mm threads) with appropriate nut and washers, until the original showed up. This may not work for you on that particular model, but I would bet it will.

(Nissan uses the same headbolt threads.)

I see. Thanks for the response. It might work as a temporary solution, but I really need one that won't come out when I am driving.
