Hey all,So i have completed my engine swap and it runs great, for like 2 hours, then the battery dies, because my alternator is not charging the damn thing. So im going through the basics making sure that the plugs are in correctly and that the power and tiny ground are all on there correctly...and they all are, so i say poo. Im wondering if there is a charge relay somewhere or if there is some sort of fuse that is inline with the voltage sense wire. if someone could give me a picture of the wiring diagram for the alternator, or any info out of the fsm (i have 56k, and i don't have 123124years to dl it) i would greatly appreciate it. also if there is any othere things that you would reccomend trying just shoot.

also i am going to be getting my hands on a voltimeter today so i can check for power at spots, so if you guys know of any good spots to check i would appreciate it.

thanks all.

with car off here it is

battery = 12+ on battery to alt case = 12big wire off alt = 12little wire off alt harnes w/r = .1 yes, the decimal is there (except when i tested with car on it tested 0, the i shut it of, and still 0...so the first one might not be true...)big wire off alt harness w = 12

with car on at idle...its all the same...wtf

If you only have 12v between the alternator case and the "big wire off alt" then go ahead and pull the alternator. Take it to a parts store to have it tested for free if you want to be sure, then buy a new one from your nearest Nissan dealership or from http://www.midwaynissan.com
