Im done with my SR swap mechanically. But now im having electrical issues. Basically it seems like with my alternator connected to the fuse box, it shorts the main 100 amp fuse out. Either itll blow or i simply dont get any power anywhere *dome light wont even turn on* But if i disconnect the main power line from the alternator to the fuse box *thick black wire w/ red stripe* and jump start the car from the battery, everything works *car starts, all electrical works* but since the alternator is not connected, car runs on battery till it dies. Im using the KA lower harness.

if your disconnecting the altenator wire at the altenator it is obviously a short inside the altenator.

So should i try another alternator? I dont think its a bad alternator since usually you can *smell* a bad alternator.

you wont smell anything if its blowing the fuse immediatly. Take your altenator down to the local parts store and have them bench test it.

Is it even possible that it could be a wiring issue? im just trying to see all the possible options. It almost seem like its reversing the charge. The car dont even have to be running for it to blow, i put everything back on the way it is and plug the negative back on the battery and the fuse just blows or power just wont go tru the chassis. Imma pull the alternator tomorrow and have it bench checked. Ill post again if that dont help...thanks :D

if the altenator tests ok then yes your next step is to trace your wiring to be sure the wire off the altenator is going to the correct part of the system.
