just got my alternator rebuilt because I suspected the constantly on brake and battery lights meant that, and after putting it in the car today I am having the same problem as before. My battery is reading ~12V when running so we know the alternator is not charging it. When I measure voltage between terminal A (on the pic below) and ground with the car running, I get nothing. When measuring resistance from terminal a to battery +, i get infinite (no path for electricity from a to (+). however, when I measure from A to battery - i get 0 ohms.. short somewhere or is there suppose to be continuity between alternator B/R cable and battery negative? Also, i checked the 75A fusible link and its good, and i get continuity from one of the prongs that goes into the link and terminal A on the alternator, 0 ohms, then I check the other prong and battery positive and get 0 ohms, great! NOT!!! when I put the fusible link back in, I get infinite between battery + and terminal A on the alternator. Anyone have ANY ideas???
