Are they all the same or are they model/year specific? Looking for one for a 95 240sx. As long as its for a ka24de it should work correct?

I called a parts shop and they said it was different for a s14 base model and a s14 SE model because of the fogs... someone point me in the right direction?

thanks

I sold the KA24E alt to a random guy who put it on a 91 KADE.... I know it worked because I bought it a year later and its now my car and it was working when I pulled the DE

Yeah, any KA alternator will work. While you're at it, check on the alternator/waterpump/power steering belts, if they are starting to crack, replace those mofo's! The belts are not that expensive either (all 3 of them will cost you under $60 with a decent lordco discount).

Quick research and I found this, all alternators will work, except that 95-96 s14 se with fogs uses a 90 amp alternator, while every other 240 uses a 80 amp one. S13 ones have a plug on the back, while the s14 ones have it on the side. That's pretty much it.

I'd rather just fix things as they go, ill end up replacing everything if I start looking close enough lol

S13 alternator in a s14 was a pain in the a**. The pulleys need to be swapped for starters and then the electrical wire that hook up to the alternator at the very end is completely different on the two. So I had to ghetto-fab my own thing to get it to work.
