Hello! Hope you can help me..

I got a 300ZX 90 mod NA, and i think my alternator is dying.

When the car is facing heavy eletrical load, the waterpump-belt is squeeling like hell..
Im sure it is the alternator belt since my A/C is in my garage and powersteering belt is off.

Anyway, i left the car at idle, turned on the heater on full speed, heat threads, stereo, power windows as well and the belt squeels.
Popped the hood and used a multimeter on the battery. (yes, i used ear protection...)
Alternator is charging 12.38V

After turning off everything of electric components, except head/rearlights and stereo, the alternator charged 14.25 volts..

This squeeling is happening even when i drive and do the same stuff listed above.. It even happens if i just turn heater on full when it rains.

Got a brand new 95AMP Hankook battery.
Alternator has neven been changed, so I guess it has over 120 000 miles on it.. Should i replace my alternator with a new rebuilt one?

grab a new one, that would be your best bet. or take it to autozone and they will test it. Z1 has new ones for 228 and used ones for 100.

Your belt needs tightened or most likely replaced, all issues will be resolved.
