Ok, so my alternator died today... I need to put the car back on the road as soon as possible seeing that it stationed at a bank's parking lot. I'm already having a problem finding an freaking alternator to replace mine with. What kind of job am I looking at here? I mean, I have the manual and it sounds pretty easy, anything I should be looking out for? Anyone care to give me a time frame to fix it? I will be bringing over a basic set of wrenches and keys to get the job done. One more question: How will I be able to check the tension on the alternator belt?Thank you for your help guys! I really need this on the road.

Ok, bumping this back up...I've pretty much gotten it all figured out and done except that I cannot remove the bottom two bolts that mount the alternator to the engine. Any ideas? Should I be removing them both at the same time in opposite directions? I need some help...

Its only one bolt on the bottom just turn it at the front and the nut on the back should fall off once the bolt has pulled through.

I did the exact same thing you did with removing those bolts that are on the engine block. You just need to remove two. I am just finishing up replacing my alternator too. It is a pain in the as-s when you have all stock intake, fan shroud, etc. A good 3hr job for me and my Kouki.
