Since some of you guys know my engine bay caught on fire, my alternator was damaged as well. So i'm gonna get the alternator rebuilt. I called up a few places getting price quotes and they ask me what motor the alternator came from well I really cant say a CA18DET since they really wouldnt have record of it. So which motor do I tell them to use alternator parts from? Do I say KA24E(DE), Pulsar CA18DE, 1985 200sx CA18ET?

I know Nissan uses Mitsubishi alternators, but are they all the same for our RWD motors just different cast housings?

ive replaced my ca with a Ka24e , but it requires a little grinding and light fabrication to get the tensioner to work.

the KA and Cadet alt have similar outputs the cade has a lower output, i would try the KA

I've heard KA E works the best as well. I don't have any experience with it thought as mine works fine.
