Alternator Brush Life?
Alternator Brush Life?
I was wondering if anyone knows the typical life expectency of an alternator's brushes? I have almost 60,000 miles on my versa and wondering if this would be a good time to check the brushes wear before they wear out completely and damage my alternator.

you will probably only replace your alternator once through the vehicle's life. that's my experience.

Original alternator on sentra when i sold it w 313000km.
Incl orig brushes and voltage regulator.
Orig Nissan battery died at 290000km.
Should be okay for a while.
