alternator belt for j30t

my car died on my way to work yesturday mourning, seemed like the alternator but i just replaced my alternator. so i opened the hood and my alternator belt is popped. im glad it wasnt anything else. my question is, is it a DIY job. and could this have effected anything else.

well it didnt turn out too good. my water pump blew also. however i have a good friend that changed my water pump, timming belt, alternator belt, and threw in a free thermostat. all for the low, low price of $450.. good thing i just got paid the day before, lol.. i hope you dont have the same problem. let me know what happens..

Install an OEM alternator, aftermarket alternators are known to cause a lot of problems in the J.
