I really hate buying tires. Always feel lie I'm getting screwed.

The quest 17s come in 225/60/17 with a height of 27.6"

It's sort an odd size tire, not a lot of competition. There are other sizes with more brands and higher load ranges.

The 225/55/17 is 26.7" with many choices.
There is also a 235/55 in 27.2"with some good choices.

235-55-17 would be my choice, because that has a higher standard load rating than the OEM size. Probably could even go 245-55-17 which has the exact same OD, and I would imagine they'd fit on the stock wheels just fine.

235-55-17 is the logical choice as it is just .4" smaller in diameter - 245's would probably fit too. I wanted to soften the ride, so I went with a taller tire with a higher load rating (235-60-17/102). Now, I am NOT necessarily recommending that to anyone though...the 235-60's will every so often touch the plastic inner wheel well liner on the front and make the harmless tire-on-plastic noise when I'm turning in a parking lot (barely moving). The rear's clear by a mile. Even with the new struts in the front (which bought me some height), the tires will still every so often hit the wheel well liner...NBD though..

The ride IS softer and the load rating is higher so that - combined with the air bladders in my rear springs (red ones) - I have safely given myself the delusion that it is OK to carry far more than I probably should in this van.

I ended up getting some Nokia entire (70k tire) in 235/55/17 from amazon for about $69 shipped each..the are load value 103.....6.5" is the narrow end of the spectrum for recommended width, so it's not tla risky installation.
