Alternative Amplifier Locations

Just wondering if anyone has tried putting their amps somewhere other than the trunk... I play euphonium and I'm always putting it in my trunk, and since it's so big I really don't have much space to spare in there.

I'm not planning to get an amp real soon, but if I do I'm going with the Rockford Fosgate P400-4. If I put it under the passenger seat, would there be enough room for heat to dissipate properly? and since I don't plan to get a sub, would the wiring be easier this way?

You should be able to get it under a seat. I've got an audio processor under the driver seat and an HD radio tuner under the passenger seat. Wiring to there is a bit harder as you have to take the seats out and remove the carpet a bit, but it should be doable. Just make sure the amp isn't too tall.

Do you think you could fit your amps under your seats?? I was looking for a amp location also. I drive the Hybrid Altima and trunk space is a huge issue.

My Alpine amps are fairly compact, so I don't think I'd have a problem getting them under a seat (obviously if there wasn't stuff there already). I'd have to measure to be sure, but I doubt there would be an issue. The Sundown amp, however, is ridiculously long and would never fit under a seat.
