altenator wire diagram

i looked through my FSM and have the color codes but for the life of me i cant figure which is which. i am trying to install an ammeter and i was hoping someone already has done this or can tell me which wire is the charging wire from the alt. thanks for any help

let me go check, although i have the sohc charging wire should be the same

you do mean the wire that charges the battery right

ya, im looking to see what style of charging system the 240 has. i think the ignition system takes power from the altenator but im not totally sure. just dont want to fry anything trying different combos!
