90% of that video was a pre-rendered cutscene not what the actual game looks like, Initial D: Extreme Stage is an enhanced port of an older PS2 version and the graphics reflect that http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-....html It still looks fun though.

Oh i completely agree but the Rendering is Excellent. However the detail in the Road Textures look good. a step up over Ps2.

Yes it is an improvement and the PS3 has no region coding correct? I wanted the ps2 ones awhile ago but didn't want to screw with mod chips.

I can NOT wait for this game to hit stateside.. It was announced a few months ago, back in February I believe, and it's good to finally see some previews of it. they haven't set a date for an international release, so I might be picking up the JDM tYte version of it just to get my feet wet. hopefully it's got G25 support!

I wouldn't bet on g25 support and you can bet the dialouge consits of variations of "wow he's fast", "wow what a fast corner entry", "OH no <insert car here> you can't win" etc. etc. so you won't miss much. If I had a PS3 i'd import

kickass, this looks awesome. I want it. When is it coming out? I really wish Genki would release another Toyko Extreme Racer for PS3, its been rumored long ago, but who knows.

Goes on sale July 3rd in Japan land, to my knowelege no Inital D game has ever been localized for NA so if you want it importing seems to be the only to play it. The PS3 has no region protection either so the only problem you will have with it is figuring out what the hell the menus are saying

The closest thing right now is the Japanese version of Wangan Midnight (which is what Tokyo Extreme is based on). its out for PS3 in japan right now.

i had the game for the last 2 months..... bought it one ebay from a seller in NY when i was still in the states.

not that exciting and i got bored after running through the first 15 battles.

i also had the japanese to english manual in PDF format

Hey biggame....does it play like the game tokyo extreme drift 2???? I saw this game on amazon.com.....was thinking bout it and now that there's an english translation of the manual...might think bout pickin it up....whatcha think biggame?
