I bought my 2nd 240 about 2 months ago for 1500. Initial problems clutch Is making noise when not pushed in and through every gear. Thinking its a bearing. Needs body work bad. All for studs broke on front passenger side wheel. Car interior consisted of from seat and passenges seat (Now have full interior). Car had open headers (put exhaust on). Came with a shifter that belonged on another car (installed short shifter). Crashed last Saturday on the was to observatory. Minor hit though my lights are pretty jacked up. Manual lights for now. transmission harness was missing a bold therefore transmission was leaning to right (fixed). In need of new motor and transmission mounts (just got Nismo transmission mount In the mail yesterday :D). Now I'm still experiencing problems with 3rd gear. when shifting fast 3rd grinds. It goes in but grinds. Also feel as if the ka doesn't have as much power as it should. :/ Oh and gas meter isn't working. Wondering if I could get some esponse to the problems that are still occurring. Thanks.

Wow.

Dude a litle ADD today huh? Could be your syncros going out, if its just in one gear but i would check the salve to make sure its moving all the way. Probally not it but better to check everything than rip out that transmission and find its not the issue.

Lol I work graveyard so I had time on my hands. It's in almost every gear. Syncros will also explain the noise occurring when clutch pedal is out?

What noise? Is it like a wurring noise or a whine, and where is it coming from? My last Sr trans had a wurring/whine coming from the trans and I think it was due to the input shaft bearing going out. The noise was still there after i replaced the clutch and throwout bearing.

Explain more about what it is and where.

Both sounds kind of match it. Coming from transmission itself. Pretty damn loud.

So any idea on which bearing it could be? How much? Should j just get a new transmission due to 3rd gear? I was told my Syncros might be off so should I just invest in a new transmission?.

If there's noise when in neutral and your foot off the pedal, but when you press in the clutch and the noise goes away, the input shaft bearing is going out.
If there's no noise in neutral but noise in 1st 2nd 3rd or 5th gears, then the main shaft, counter shaft, or output shaft bearings could be going out.
Syncros don't typically all go out together unless you were being stupid by trying to float all gears or your using the wrong fluid (among other causes).

So input shaft bearing is the one going out. Any Idea on prices for replacing? Car received a good amount of damage by last owner I believe seeing as it was a track car.

By the time you price out parts, you are better off just getting another transmission.
