but as long as we had rings of regeneration, we'd be ok as we'd heal the damage we would suffer from being stuck in negative energy :)

Screw that I'd just use my bag of eternal holding. I'd jump inside and wait for the whole thing to blow over. I've got enough food and entertainment in there to last me for a decade.

one of my friends did this one time. he cut his finger off, handed it to the cleric and proceded to attack the great wyrm red dragon by pulling that trick. naturally the dragon ate him in the astral, but since the party had a body part, we rezzed him.

anyways, sircnay. the resulting implosion is instantanious, you won't have a chance to use that thread before you get sucked to the astral plane.

It's all instantaneous as well. So unless you can compete with a God I believe I win this argument of fictional physics.

even if your needle is instantanious, it will require an action to use. and seeing as the implossive effect doesn't allow for any kind of action, you can't use your needle. If you could use your needle, then all wizards could get out of it by merely casting dim door or teleport.

Wait, but wouldn't you need to use an action to throw your hole at me?

i never said i wasn't going to be in range of the hole. i'll be standing right behind you, invisible, non-detection, and with a readied action.

But apparently you didn't realize that I have beasts of Warding. Beasts, meaning plural. Meaning gremlins and spirits gnawing at your sac.

and they'll have a hell of a time trying to find me while i'm invisible. They gotta find my location, and they still have a 50/50 miss rate, and I am considered to have 100% concealement

Props to Mr. Diesel for making the first truly great videogame adaptation of a movie. Hollywood bigwigs take note: Chronicles of Riddick- Escape from Butcher's Bay is proof movie licenses don't have to suck as videogames!
