sorry i know its been asked before but there are a few things. like im looking at picking up on a 89 with a 5spd single cam i want to put a dual cam into i but im kinda hesitent to buy the car because i have no idea on how difficult this swap is. the motors are plentiful here but it seems like theres more then just the motor. can anyone assist me im used to domestic vehicals simple harness switch and done no cuting and splicing is this all difficult or am i just panicing of nothing.

also what are average price ranges for this swap and parts that i might have trouble finding.

See that big button up in the corner that says 'Seach'? It's your best friend. But seeing this is your first post I'll give ya a little heads up.

I haven't looked much into it, but I have considered swapping a DE (Dual cam 91+) head on my now SOHC (89 and 90) motor. But after seeing I would have to swap harnesses and gauge cluster among other things. I quickly got turned off by it. IMO just buy a 91+ car and save yourself the headache of swapping a motor or head and all the other goodies that come along with it.
