Well when I bought my car it had some aftermarket auto shift nob on it, has a little shift lock button at the top and all, but do auto 240's have overdrive? I was at the pick n' pull today and saw the stock shift nob, has an overdrive button on it. Whats the deal did some come w/ overdrive and some not? or did the people before me bypass it somehow?

from my knowledge, all autos from like 89-98 came with od buttons. the overdrive button is pretty much the fourth gear in autos.

i would think removing it would just make it were you couldn't take it out of the 4 gear setup. if that makes sence.

That OD button is very useful though...I don't see why someone would want to take it out/bypass it.
