I going to be ordering an S15 motor from heavythrottle in the next few days.S15 Motor 6-speed comes with driveshaft and LSDMounting driveshaft would be a fab job due to different mounting locations of the shaft bearing.

The big question I have for you guys is this.I also want to purchase an aluminum driveshaft from TheDriveShaftShopand have a problem on which one will fit.

Does anyone know for a fact (without speculation) if the S15 rear end has an ABS sensor ring on all year rear-ends?

Choices are:S13 w/S15 6-speed ABSS13 w/S15 6-speed NON ABS

I think they all have ABS as there is no speed sensor in the transmission, the s15 takes a reading from the ABS sensor and translates it to the speedometer.

I'm asking specifically about the rear end. Not the transmission. I'm well aware of the speed sensor signal problem and already purchased the Dakota box 2 months ago to translate the signal.

As far as them all having abs why does The Drive Shaft Shop list 2 solid axles for the S15. One with ABS and one without.

Usually when someone is using the S15 helical, like me for example, the diff and stub axles are transplanted into the existing USDM housing. Not too many people receive the full S15 R200 pumpkin. I am willing to bet the driveshafts are based on an S15 engine swap mated to your existing diff housing; abs or non.

Yup that sounds like a safe bet. I've contacted The Driveshaft Shop, the guy I talked to said since I'll be bolting the S15 Rear Diff (R200) on it would be better to get a measurement from the seal of the transmission to where the DS bolts up. He said being as little as 1/2 inch off can cause serious problems.http://www.nicoclub.com/articles.php?id=245575 thats what ur talking about right? Those that transplant the parts?I'm getting the R200 plus s15 driveshaft with my engine set though.

Yes sir thats about right. You may also have to change the diff cover to the one on your car if it is an S13. Those mount to the subframe with 4 studs as opposed to the newer diffs that mount with 2 studs at the cover.
