ayt, i gotta 89 240 ka24e widda stock open diff. tire shop said i need to replace my diff oil, so whats involved in changing it? i heard its best to use 80w gear oil. anyway thanks in advance for the help...

undo drain plug on bottom. let it drain completely. reinstall drain plug. undo fill plug on side of diff, and begin filling with your choice of gear lube. you need either a pump to do it in the car or a hose to go on the end of the gear lube bottle and you can squeeze it in (this is a tough method but cheap and it works). fill until the oil begins to drain back out of the fill hole and you're done. plug it up and go.
