So you didn't cut the fenders? Do you plan to take it any lower? How much lower do you think it can go without cutting the fenders?
I'm looking at old Datto trucks now, but I'm only looking at really nice ones (I don't want to do substantial bodywork or pay for substantial bodywork), and obviously I'm not going to hack up the fenders of either a restored truck or a mint original. I'm curious to see how low you can go without hacking the fenders to bits with rivet-ons.
Oh, and apparently Watanabe *will* do custom 6-bolt patterns. I can sleep at night now. Anyway, great work!
Thanks Hash. I didn't cut the fenders but I did roll them and do some shaping to flare them out a little under the flares, not much though. Currently the truck is lowered 3" and I'm sure I could go one more inch without issues of it hitting the fender/quarter, I would have some rubbing issues when turning though.
Best of luck on the truck search, clean examples are hard to find, but atleast the trucks are still affordable.
As for the Wats....they were definitely out of the budget for me, but I'm happy with the turbines I snagged for well under $100 for the set
Thanks for the compliments
