I am pulling the Bose system in my J30 and getting an HU, 6.5 components, 6x9 and a 4 channel amp to power the speakers. If anyone has any advice or experience with the following I'd like to hear it.

HU

Alpine 7995 Eclipse 8443, 5423 probably going with one of these after hearing them

6.5s

Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 CDT Audio Classics MB Quart Premium 216 or suggest

6x9

Infinty Kappa 693.5i Boston Acoustics NX97 or suggest

Amp suggestions

What I'm looking for is SQ, looking to spend b/w 150-200 on each set of speakers and b/w 3-400 on the HU. I'd like decent lows (w/o a sub) and clear highs. As for the amp I just want something reasonably priced to give clean sound the speakers.

Any comments or suggestions of other brands are greatly appreciated.

for speakers I'd also look at Alpine. I have their Type S 5.6"s all the way around in my 240 and it sounds great. They were $100/pair. The Type Rs are more what you are looking for ($150-200/pair) and better I assume. I also heard the 6x9s and Circuit City and they were they best sounding 6x9s I saw there.

Eclipse Cd Player

Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 (i have these in my own vehicle... they are Fukin sweet) so for the rear, throw in some kappa 6x9s

Bostons sound great too, but get the Pro series and not Rally series if you are going to compare them apples to apples with the Kappa Perfect system... the Bostons were the other set of components that i considered when i was buying components for my own vehicle. I wish i could of afforded some Dyn-Audio or even Focal components, but thats for my next car.

Amps... dont get a sony. Alpine and eclipse amps sound good with the kappas. I have heard good things about the audiobahn amps, however i have still to actually hear one. If you find any Precision Power amps, especially on Ebay... you will not be disappointed. They are my favorite along with McIntosh amps.

thats my opinion based on my own experience in competition and real world use.:ylsuper

Headunit: Havn't heard the Alpine or Eclipse unit, but I do have the Nakamichi CD-400 and that unit is AWESOME. Sound quality and clarity on this unit is amazing. I can hear every little detail, can picture the size of the recording studio/auditorium based on the amount of echoing on the vocals, and the unit is extremely quiet (almost no hissing/noise). Very well worth the $300. My previous unit was the JVC SH909 and although still a very good unit for its price, was nowhere near this CD400 in terms of sound quality and clarity.

Speakers: I'd have to go with Infiniti Kappas Perfect also, they sound clean, soft, and warm and aren't overpriced. But if you go big, get the CDT Eurosports. :)

Amp: Phoenix gold or Alpine. Both are excellent amps. Or go big and get yourself a hybrid tube amp. I have the Tube Driver Blue 2-channel amp and it sounds so ****ING NICE.

Yea I heard alot about the Nak's. If you want clarity thats the way to go, and i heard they don't skip either. both eclipse and nakamichi are on the same level it all depend on you taste. if you like the low profile green display naks for you. If you like blue neon buttons and red display than go with the eclipse...lol.

dude you have CDT's eurosports. one word....DIZYAM! IMHO I think the eurosports are better speakers than Focal Utopia's.I would gotten those for the front, but i spent so much and the amp and headunit i couldn't afford it...lol
