I have noticed some weird signs that my car may have had some type of motor swap in it's past. All the maf wires have been cut and spliced back together. The ECU had a huge dent in it when I replaced it and it was only held in by one of the two screws that is supposed to hold it onto the kick panel. Also, my car's idle is bad. It goes anwehre from 700 to 1500. When its at 7-800 rpm the car shakes, and the motor moutns were replaced when I had the new engine installed. I am almost led to beluieve someone swapped this car since I've noticed those signs. But in all honesty, I just want my car to idle. If it idles at 1000, then everythign is smooth. I adjusted the idle speed screw with the tps disconnected and its helped a little, but not much. I need a little more help. Btw, the ecu was replaced with a properly working one so it's nto that. HELP!

yeah I did. Also cleaned the TB. I'm gonna check the EGR valve for proper operation. I read a post from Nistech that was talking about it and it could be my problem. any other ideas?

you just described my car to a 'T'. My guess is something ignition related. Feels like its missing a cylinder at idle. Try pulling plug wire #1 while its idling. Seems like it doesnt make a diference

well when its idling at 1k or above the car doesnt shake, but below that it does, so that could be ignition related.
