Well, we went to the stealership saturday. the only white SE they had was actually a demo being driven by the service manager, who was off that day. By the time they had the car up there, we were ready to leave. They wanted to make the sale though, so they gave it to me as a loaner till Monday. It already has tinted windows and a spoiler installed, but they couldn't tell me what kind of spoiler it was or even how many miles were on it untill it was up there at almost 7 pm. they pretty much told me they could sell me a new one like that for 25k, but considering this one has 1400 miles on it already, they say they will knock a few hundred off that price.

Upon getting it home and inspecting it closely, I noticed a hairline crack along the base of the spoiler where it attaches to the trunklid, you may be able to see it here:

Besides this, the car looks and feels great. I have enjoyed the extended test drive. Here are some other pics:

Under these circumstances, what do you think should be the most I should pay for this car? It's a cvt SE with no packages, it has traction control, aluminum kick plates and floormats but no VDC. The sticker was 26300 I believe. It isn't my favorite spoiler, but I think it looks better than that car does without one. the only problem is that hairline crack, and I'm a bit worried they are going to think I did that. I really don't want to pay any extra for something that is broken, frankly. I guess the tint job is worth a couple hundred extra. Should I go ahead and save some money on this demo, or wait for a new one at 25000 with a tint job? They can't really take this spoiler off the car unless they replace it with one just like it I think. I wish it were the g35 coupe replica one actually, do you think it's possible they can install that one over where this one was installed without any holes showing?

3.5 start at $25k and not many dealers are gonna go under that especially since its a brand new model

Hes right, I got my base 3.5 for $24,700 (not OTD) back in August, when they were harder to come by and going faster.

You should definitely try and get it for under 25k, because it didn't just come out, and its a demo. The tint and spoiler only adds up to a few hundred bucks. You can just tell them its not something your really wanted, and don't be afraid to point out the crack you found. Good luck.

Well I ended up paying 25K, but at a much better interest rate than originally quoted. The dealership originally quoted me around 15%, but when I told them my credit union had approved me for 20K, all the sudden they were able to get me 7.09%, which beat the credit union rate. Now I'm waiting to see if they are going to come back and tell me they couldn't actually get that rate, at which point I'll be going back to the credit union. They are going to replace the spoiler.

WTF? 15%? might as well buy it on your damn credit card. but i would say credit unions are usually the better deals, as i got my 3.5 6MT for 25,300 OTD, that was considering it was only 2 months that it has been out

Well I have the 3.5 with all the bells and whistles but I only paid $28.5 for it! As fro the spoiler, looking at the positions of the pedestals, there's no way you'll be able to replace that spoiler for the replica G35 one. As I remember, you need to drill 6 holes, 2 in the middle and 2 on each side that is about 1.5" in from the trunk edge.

I'd make them work for it and low ball them and have them replace the trunk lid with a new one. That way you can get the spoiler you want without having any holes showing / exposed.

Good Luck and let us know the outcome

With 1400 miles, they should knock off a couple of thousand off the price. Don't listen to them about how the car has never been titled. Anything over a 100 miles on a new car has now become a used car!

Anything over 1 mile on a new car has become a used car actually.

uhhh no......they have to move the car out the factory (usually driven out), then drive the car on the truck, then drive it off..... move it around the parking lot of the dealership, test drives, my car had 66km on it when I picked it up.

I'm just saying, it's technically used.

Obviously you didn't understand what I meant.

LOL fair enough but shouldn't you of meant anything over 0 miles, because I can put a half a mile on it right?

Well they replaced the spoiler with this one:

I have to say I like this one better.
