some punk tried to steal the vette eater. it would have broken my heart.

the good newsluckily the battery was disconnected, head was off (rebulid and clean up) and the map ecu was unplugged and in the house.they didn't realize that there was a 1500 dollar turbo in the back seat. an evc boost controller was left, as well as all 5 guages were left alone.

the bad newsinstead of using the unlocked driver door, they used a sledge hammer and dentedd in the pass fender and pryed the door right the fark off.

unrelated good news a friend just gave me a set of stock cloth 350z seats. goodbye slippery stock leather, hello lateral support.hope i can fab a mount.

wil update with progress

i do know how you feel tho man, my car was broken into and all my camera stuff was stolen along with my jacket, tools, amps and my freeking graphing calculator; they even had the nerve to steal my faceplates but leave the head units.grrrrrrrrrr not to mention smashing my passenger window when it was pouring out.

Thank god for the stupidity of the common criminal. at least he didn't get all the goodies you had in the car.

I recently had my window smashed in so they could steal a graphing calculator and a pos cellphone. they didn't bother to grab the $300+ radar detector suction cupped to my windshield.... 240's are so easy to break into why does every one have to use force

at any rate I know how much my incident sucked and I wasn't out much so I feel for you for sure....If only some people would take a shower cut their hair get a damn job and work for their money like we do

Amen man!

I live in a damn good neighborhood, havent heard of any crime around this area in a looong time.. So i get in the bad habbit of not locking my doors... I have my rb 240 and my Z chillin on the street. Last week someone got into the Z, took off the sterio faceplate, and then left with one of my burnt CD's.... The 240 (directly in front of it), had the keys in it (not running right - undrivable), brand new spearco FMIC, greddy guages, and countless other parts laying in it... dumbest criminals ever

I definatly agree with your car not being your parts closet, I'm not making that mistake again

Thats what sucks about it...Its soooo easy to break into a car, and it can happen anywere....mine was at work in the parking lot of a "Premium casual" resturant in a nice town while we were open in the middle of the afternoon where people walk past constantly....

The first thing you have to realize is that crimminals are idiots. If they weren't idiots they would work for a living.

Thank God I live in Texas where we can carry guns and kill anyone that attempts to steal from us.

Those Road signs you see in Texas should say "Don't Mess With Texas, cause will f...ing kill you"

Glad your baby will live to see another day.

yeah it could have been way worse.

i am embarassed to say that i built this car with the money i got from when my moderately built gsr was stolen. thats why i park this one at my parents house in an affluent neighborhood, instead of in the ghetto where i live.

i guess i should have taken the extra two minutes connect the battery, so my compustar would have been going crazy. i guess too cold will never be an excuse again.

man i am an unlucky sob
