So Im on my way home lastnight from work driving on I43. It was very windy and the car was being pushed around a little bit. I decide to put the car in sport mode to firm up the suspension. It worked, the car seemed much more stable. So I continue on at about 75mph. Im calm, relaxed and listening to the radio with the cruise on when all of a sudden I see a huge fiberglass ladder flying through the air. It clears the car in front of me and is heading in my direction. I slam on the brakes and instantly slow down to about 40 and yank the wheel right. Wheeew, just missed it. It was so close that I even braced myself for this thing to come flying into my windshield. I look in my rearview and the car behind me ran it over and just kept going. Anyway, moral of the story, thank GOD for the kick azz brakes in the Q

Dayum!!!! Nice reaction and I agree that Y33 brakes are excellent! I'm loving my Brembo rotors, Wagner ThermoQuiet and Valvoline Syn combo, smooth, quiet and strong!

So when do you want me to order a set of Tein's for you? They really help the handling, virtually eliminate nose dive and roll

You know, I have been trying to refrain from asking about it untill I could afford it (Probably after the holidays) But since you brought it up.....

Falk, your car looks sick. Trust me, I love it and would love to have mine that low. I'm just nervous of how the Q would handle wisconsin roads year round dropped 2 ". Im sure you know this but when it gets cold here, the roads actually Heeve up and make HUGE holes and bumps.

Another fear is how long my Shocks will last. Im very nervous about replacing those expensive T shocks prematurly.

Could you maybe post a pic of your car with the camera on the ground looking under the car?

Does tein make any 1" drops? I think that would almost be perfect. Or even let me in on your input on the matter. Maybe Im just nervous because I have never lowered my own car before. And on a side note, I think even you would be supprised at how well the Sport mode on a Q45T drasticly lowers nose dive and body roll.

I believe Tein Comfort spec (H-Tech, iirc) are a mild drop. I'll look into it.

I don't run into any clearance issues, but there are a few speed bumps I avoid, but seriously, only a few. I would bet with them and your sus. set on sport, they'd go well together, but I can't say for sure.

I test drove a '99t before committing to my '98 so I have an idea . I also realize it's not springs alone, but my combo of springs and shocks.

You have pretty nice roads in Cali right? If i know you like I think, I belive you would refuse to drive your car here in cold months.

Thanks for looking into that for me. I really would like to do it shortly.

Nice roads?!?! hahaha, L.A. roads suck. They're all torn up still from our rainy season last winter. Potholes, steel plates, random 2" bumps that run across the road, it's like a rally cross to avoid them.

So do you think an inch would be worth it? I know I have major gap.

When you're talking about a 3" fender gap (SUV style) a 1" drop will not be much. Even with 2" drop I still have almost 1" fender gap. IMO, the 2" drop is just right. I haven't run into any problems besides Mitsuwa's parking garage with is like this: /\, so I just park down stairs, and some of the speed bumps out here are outrageous, but as long as you're careful you're fine.

You would be wise to get opinions of other folks that got the Tein's from me, like 97Q45t and Radioaktiv to see what they say.
