Sumthin cool happened to me today. I went to Nissan to get my valve cover gaskets and there were some salesmen sitting outside where I parked. One of them asked if he could drive my car, I kinda laughed and said no. I came back out and said I gotta proposition for you. You can drive my car if I can drive a 350Z. He said OK and started to get up and get my keys. They asked how old I was and I said 17, which I know I shouldnt' have, but yea they wouldn't let me drive a Z, so I put my keys back in my pocket and didnt' let the dude drive, he was mad. But he started sayin man I'm disappointed you won't let me drive your car, these things are fast and this one looks awesome. He started askin if I had "nitro", I was like uh, no, I don't have nitrous oxide. He kinda looked at me like I was stupid. But yea. Made me feel good that he liked my 2slowty

Hahahahaha... I've driven a 350z!!! My old neighbor owns it, and let me take it for a spin once. He said all I have to do is ask and he'll let me take it out whenever.

In case you are wondering... they handle like a DREAM!!! 60mph around 90 degree corners... no problem... not a bit of body roll. They are pretty damn fast... although they could use just a touch more power.

It's weird, last time I was at my local Nissan dealer the sales people seemed like they would have let me test drive one in a second. I was just waiting for something from the parts dept, staring at the Z's on the showroom floor and the first thing the sales guy said was "do you want to drive it?"

It's nice that Nissan dealers (well, at least my local one) don't have the "you can't drive it until you've almost paid for it" mentality that many dealers seem to have these days for higher performance cars.

My local nissan locks the damn cars and tints all the windows and they store them inside. I have tried to look inside one just to see what it is like and they salesmen just looked at me like I was crazy. Of course it may have been because I was covered in grease. Ah well, who knows.

I'm going to just go down to the dealership and test drive one..

I am highly debating weather to sell my car and buy a 350 or just keep my 240 adn get the 350 later down the road when I can keep my 240 as well..

after contemplating.... I decided I am going to keep my car and just buy the 350 in about a year or 2

Keeping both is a good idea. I did just that for a few months, asthe 240sx is a much better commuter than the Z. Softer ride, better gas mileage, plus costs much less to maintain and insure.

OMG almost everyone in this thread has that damn Inital D stuff in their sigs. anyways, I only sat in the z at the auto show when it came thru here. I'd love to drive one, but only if I could take it out without a salesperson cuz they always make me nervous and I don't do the kinds of things I would want to do in the car to make the testdrive worth it. I also thought of selling everything I own to buy a Z, or wait a few years until I could afford it. I decided, I liked eating food and sleeping indoors so I'll wait.
