well i got out of school tonight around 11 and well, i live about 20-45 min away so i try to get home as fast as possible so i can get home and sleep. well anyways i drive pretty sporty, i start driving down 125th st to get on i-95 southbound suddenly a guy from my class with a ford focus starts racing me.

i acknowledge and its on! we speed through the streets and on to the highway. i had the worst luck with slow cars in the way boxing me in. well, it was fun but i wasn't serious. he lives in boca, which is northbound and soon i had to break away to go west.

once we broke it off, i had what i thought were highbeams shine at me, i looked back and there was no one. "heh, maybe it was my imagination" well, a few moments later i notice where the light was coming from. a spotlight from a helicopter! the same light shined down on the other guy but it was too late, we were going the speed limit then. oh boy, i was paranoid as hell and soon the chopper pulled away and i got home safely.

wow what a night!

I havent seen any helicopters in pa. Thank god.

The state police r still dirty, along with the townies.

I got a question?

Since i am a licensed driver in pa, what happens when i get a ticket in NJ or NY, ect...

Will the ticket transfer?

What do you mean by transfer? If you get a ticket in another state, you have to pay the ticket, or show up to court. In most cases, its a long ways from your residence, you you kinda have to suck it up and pay. As far as the points system goes, a hit on ur license for a ticket anywhere in the US, shows up on your license

not exactly...a few states don't follow that rule and PA happens to be one of the lucky ones

I know this for a fact. BF used to have a PA license and got a nice one on the BQE in Brooklyn. Paid it off and no ill effects on the driving record

saw it on Wikipedia at one point, but can't find it now

I was speeding in Tennesse and I had a california license. I got a ticket and payed the fine. A few months later when I got back to cali I checked my record and it never came up. It never showed up on my insurance either. I am pretty sure that insurance companys only check the state you live in. It is the issuing state that will decide if they want to notify the licensed state. If you get a DUI in a different state. That state can not suspend your home state license. They will notify your state, and it is your states decision if they want to suspend your license.

Blake, reciprocity doesnt go across all states...For instance, if NJ finds out you got a moving violation out of state, they give you 2 pts on your license, regardless of the infraction.

HOWEVER, many states do not share reciprocity and dont give up your info as long as you pay the ticket... for instance, if i get a speeding ticket in cali, and i pay it... NJ and my license has no idea of it.

montana doesn't have any helicopters ...one time i was on a roadtrip to minneapolis to visit some family, between billings and the n.d. border (thats just about half of the state) there was only 1 cop patrolling it , i was doing about 100 mph the whole time with my parents suburban (aka the party bus)
