I've learned a lot of things along the way. I'll post up things I learned when it's completely done. For now if anyone has any questions I'll try to answer them.

Yeah....I've actually left KCSR....for personal reasons. A lot of **** has happened to me recently and I can't stand to be on there anymore.

Anywho....pretty much all the fab work to get the 5spd is done. pedals, wiring, etc. All I need now is to figure out how to get the transmission adapter crank bearing out and then it's just basically a clutch swap....bolt everything up.

Yeah a slide hammer is what I'm going to have to get...I guess I can rent it from autozone....

I think tuesday or wednesday is when I outta get r done. Provided no more hiccups should be done then.

The only think I'm worried about is when I removed the S13 speed sensor to put in the S14 I noticed brass, sand grain sized, pieces at the bottom of the transmission. Synchros are brass so I'm a little worried the synchros may be fried in this transmission. Ah well....worse comes to worse I'll have to get a new transmission for 100 bucks. Oh noes.

I did a 5 speed swap on my convertible and we broke the slide hammer....I had to use an air chizzle to get the damn thing out...... It was very interesting..... It took me like 3 weeks (i dont know that much about cars...im just learning (i was 17 when i did the swap.) and that was my first major thing i did to my car) i hate autos....lol neways.... Hows the car running now???? Any wiring issues?? Did you keep the auto ecu or swap it too??

Yeah a slide hammer and a threaded tool that went inside the bearing and then the slide hammer hooked on the end of that tool and it pulled out that way. I didn't end up doin it my buddy did...I was so frustrated I told him to have at it and he did!

The car runs great now...just had a minor issue with flames and sparks and smoke shooting from the end of the transmission from the driveshaft rubbing against the transmission.

bah I ended up dremeling it down and now it's fine!

No wiring issues...I just pulled out the auto transmission's wiring harness from the car and left the one that had the speed sensor, crank angle sensor and o2. didn't bother with the wiring for the reverse....just speed sensor and o2 and she's great.

Auto ECU still...and it's giving me ~32 mpg and loads of power. There's no way this thing only has 120-130 at the wheels... no way.

I'll find out soon enough. Gotta hop it on the dyno to get a baseline run.
