Almost did the unthinkable!!!!

I almost traded the G today for a new (unused) 2008 NISMO edition 350Z.This thing was SWEET!!! Had all the body work and suspension work done to it....all Nismo. I didn't like the way the floor manager was being so I told him to give me my keys back and F^%$K OFF!! and I wouldn't be buying my wifes new Morano there either. Glad I didn't give up my baby....I think I'll call her.....hhmmmm....Carmen.

I think i can guess what happened... he started hustling you and as soon as you showed any sign of interest he started talking numbers. then he assumed you would by it and kept going from there.

one time i was at a honda dealership cuz i was bored and wanted to test drive a s2k. i acted rich (rolling into the dealership in a G and i was dressed up) and he even let me do a burn out. i cant remember what i said exactly but it was along the lines of "nah, i lost interest already. this car isnt for me." and walked away before he said anything else.

THe Nismo Z's are very SWEET!!! Took one for an extended drive with the wifie. What did the manager do?? Would think they would be bending over backwards to make a sale!Recently was at my local Infiniti dealer and saw a salesman that just moved there from the Nissan dealer. He said that their sales at Nissan were aweful and he left before they started cutting more.

The floor manager started with the whole "we're not really buying any cars right now" thing and then produced some BS sheet of paper showing where he could get a G at auction for $12,000 to $17,000 trying to say its not worth that much.....basically insulted me and my car. I told him very loudly that I didn't give a ship about his stupid piece of paper and it didn't mean a fluckin thing to me so just give me my key back to my car and I would return with my wife to look at the Murano. Then he said he'd heard THAT before and he wouldn't sell the Z to someone like me anyway. Still took 5 minutes to get my key back. Then there were some very nice words exchanged and I left.

I avoid the dealership at almost all costs...

I'd rather go to the Nissan dealerships since they don't think they are such amazing people.

That WAS the Nissan dealer....we don't have an Infiniti dealer in Reno yet.

Wow. Can't stand dealers. Did you dress up nice? They are so biased. One day I'm going to walk into a dealership looking like a scrub. Find the newest sales guy that has to take the guy that nobody wants, then I'm going to pay cash for the best car in the lot. Teach them sales bastards a lession!!

I ALWAYS! go in looking like a "scrub" (then again I can't help it...I always just look like that) just to see the reaction when they see my credit score and incomes from the wife and me. I like doing it in the summer better.....6ft2in, 250lbs, shaved head with long goatee, sleeved left arm, half sleeved right arm, usually earings, black camo pants (levis), combat style boots, always lookin pissy.....the reactions are great when I go for expensive! When I bought my G....they were tryin to put me in some 08 mustang for less money. I walk into Harley and they say "whatever bike you want is yours". I go to Nissan and they give me the whole....you don't deserve to be here thing. It's all quite amusing. The best is when they find out I'm a real nice guy with a really messed up sense of humor. I love to be judged!

Shoulda seen 'em when we bought the house. My wife is an accountant (controler) for the same company I work for and all they dealt with was her until I needed to come down fer whatever and I show up on my Harley etc. etc. ........it was friggin hilarious! I thought the lady at the model home was gonna crawl under the desk!

By the time I left she gave me a hug. I love it!

nismo z is a waste of money. ill give you a cheaper car that will spank it handling and track wise, a 2005 lotus elise.
