K, so my car would not start on Wednesday... After over an hour of trying (it would not turn over, just wouldn't do anything) we put it up on a trailer and brought it to the garage. The mechanic at my work swears its the clutch safety switch, so I got me a wire to bypass it with and was gonna do that tonight. When I got there the other guy I know had allready started on working on **** (I'm having him fix my speedo too) and had **** torn into, so I figured I'd leave it alone 'til tomorow and some daylight.

However, when I got home I was told that the guy called and tried starting the car like 30 times, and it fired up every time.

I though maybe it had something to do with the heat, cause it would only act up like that when it was hot (but always started after a while). And Wednesday was hot as ****, then yesterday and today it was pretty cool.

So, any of you have any ideas? What could it be? I'm thinking ignition/clutch safety swtich, but do those act up when its hot? I don't know whats going on here, just I'm having withdrawals from not having my car, and its horrible driving the Olds...

Check the clutch relay they tend to stick or get a bad connection internally and won't start at times. Also this could be a starter problem. Try to get it to happen again and tap on the relay and starter when the key is in the start position and see if it starts.

We messed with the clutch switch, and the connetion to the battery for the starter under the hood. We believe it was the old alarm system that was installed before I bought the car (they didnt really unhook it, just clipped the wires to the horn). So, we took that out yesterday and it started perfectly fine today (and it was suny and kinda warm) so I hope that took care of it... We'll see tomorrow, its supposed to get really warm tomorrow.
