Hey guys, so this passed weekend I finally got new tires. While I was at the shop I asked for an allignment. Basically they told me they couldn't do it because there was some play in a bearing. He said it was either my hub or wheel bearing. I took it to my mechanic to have a look. He told me the bushings on my upper control arms are bad and that it could cause the bearing to go out. I want to know if this sounds correct to you guys. Oh by the way I just realized the car came with aftermarket tension rods.probably sounds newbish but i never did get a good look underneath untill recently. They look like ebay ones, would this make an effect on the whole situation? Should I just go back to oem?

if the bearing has play then the hub has nothing to do with it. the hub is just the part that holds the studs and wheel on...the upper control arm bushings wouldnt cause the bearing to go bad probably just a coincidence. either way you need to have everything in the front end tight before you can do the alignment.
