I've been looking for all-weather floor mats for my 2008 SE-R. I don't want to be bothered with "universal fit" ones or ones that I will need to cut or trim. I want custom fit ones that 'out of the box'.

I've got some on order at my Nissan dealership, but they've been on backorder since October! I can't believe how hard it is to get accessories for this car. I ordered a bug deflector from them and it took about 2-3 months to get that too!

Anyway, if someone can point me to some great fitting ones I'd appreciate it (I'm tempted to get WeatherTech ones every time I read Car & Driver, but so far I've resisted).

Thanks again!

I got my OEM rubber mats from abcnissanwholesale.com . The prices over there are the cheapest I've seen online.

I am a little disappointed that the mats are not black as the pictures show. The rubber is more like a dark grey. You can see pictures on my cardomain site, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3136491 on page 4.

With my mats (I just got some too for my '01), there seems to be a film on them that's very gray and rubs off. Underneath is a charcoal gray/blackish.

If they don't acquire a darker sheen once any manufacturing dressing wears off, you could consider using ForeverBlack or any similar dye-type, non-silicone product.

(But it may be difficult to get even coverage over such a large area and avoid a blotchy look.)

If WeatherTech ever comes out with a Digital Fit "Floor Liner" for the B16, that could be the best (or it should be at the price).

As an aside, nice pics. in cardomain - but where did you get the amber vertical segments in the tail-lights for the iJDM bulbs? Gives your SL a distinctive European look.

Although this is off topic..... What amber vertical segments? I didn't do anything to the taillights (yet). It's all stock. Do you mean the headlights? The only thing I changed are the T10 parking lights to T15 Xenon White LEDs. I'm thinking about upgrading the headlights to the new Eagle Eyes Projector Lights but the the sellers are asking $336. A bit much I'd say. I'll consider them when they are in the $100 - 200 range.

O.K. - it must just be the brightness of the LED parking light bulbs - the rear 3/4 shot on your page 1 makes the red reflector look orange at the side (at least on my display).

Apologies for the diversion.

Ok I see what you mean. It's probably the flash from the camera. No worries on the diversion. Now back to floor mats! :P

Thanks for the tip. I got a set of all weather mats for my 06 Spec V delivered for $38. Awesome deal and nice / thick mats. I will remove them this spring to scrub off the greyish coating when I detail the car. Otherwise great company to deal with and great prices. E3
