Bosoversa has been given a short vacation from the board for disobedience of my orders. Mod forum consensus is that while his insulting would normally not be a trigger for a ban (because it didn't "cross the line"), his disobedience of a moderator's orders to stop WAS a trigger.

I'm trying to keep this board a relatively clean place, so I like to keep the amount of profanity and insults to a minimum. I realize that I may take it a bit farther than other sub-forums on this board, but it is my personal perogative as your moderator. If you have a problem with it, you can always take it up with the admin staff.

I'd like to take a moment to tell you guys the kinds of things I look for (and yes, I know I'm not 100% perfect and I miss some stuff):

1) Rudeness to newcomers. I make note of this... I don't like it.2) Escalating negative feelings in a thread once you have already expressed them the first time,.3) Insulting people. This doesn't need to take the form of profanity, but personal insults are covered under this as well.4) Disobedience of moderators' directions.

#3 and #4 are the two that really get my goat. We are here to have FUN, people... this is a hobby. And NOONE likes a hobby where they get insulted for sharing their passion. Please consider this heavily when you post. Also, disobeying a moderator's directions is a sure-fire way to get in trouble. It's just a bad idea all around.

There are several of you on here who I have had my eye on recently. Your conduct is somewhat less than amicable towards other users.

So please... listen to your mothers. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all. Expressing that you don't like something is ok. Attacks are not.

dear OP, what are you trying to get out of this thread?

It seems like you're trying to advise members the expected behavior but it also seems like you think you're something better than the rest of us.

I am sure that is unintended but it's just the feeling I get from the post sometimes other nico mods.

Well, it's just feeling I get as a member. I am sure the intent is genuine and it probably can be improved by choosing less hostile tonality.
