I would like to know what you guys did to secure the spoilers, both the upper and deck spoilers. I got the Deck spoiler and it only hold on with double sided tape. That doesn't seem to secure to me. If anyone set it a better way I would like to hear it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, my rear wing already came with the tape on it aroudn the entire edge of the wing. The idiot at the shop ignored the directions I gave him and took the entire backing off the tape off when I wassnt looking, and just set it on the trunk! And the first time he completely missed and the bottom wassnt setting right ont he trunk. He then ripped it off quick and put it on properly. That being said, its on great and is secure! So pretty much I think the most important thing is making the the trunk is very very clean. I used wax remover to remove any wax I had on it and then put it on. Just make sure its "pushed up" against the edge of the trunk, if that makes any sense.

Just as a sidenote, my hands are tied, I must do some more mods to my A/C. Some jacka$$ just got the same AC as me, well really he just got the same color as me(black) he didnt get all the goodies of the premium and tech package in his . Still upsets me

If you're brave enough, you can always drill holes on your trunk and secure spoiler by screws

Does anyone know about the rockers. I heard you needed to drill holes in order to secure it.

the body shop i went to said that they drilled some extra holes for support on my rockers. they are not noticeable, and if i ever put the stock ones back on, they will be covered. im not sure if stillens directions tell you to drill extra, or use the factory holes though

Thank Sean. Whee did you put the extra tape? Just curious because I'm going to put mine on as soon as the top spoiler comes in and I send them to my friends body shop.

place the spoiler on the truck without tapeing it, then kind of lean it in different directions and look for any flat spots that don't have tape on them. Then put tape there and you can re enforce the tape thats there. Just dont make it to thick. To thick and it could leave a gap under the spoiler.

Please tell me you are takeing your spoiler to the body shop to get painted, and not to be installed. Don't pay to install. It literaly takes like 5 minutes. Lineing it up is the hardest part, and hear is a little trick I used.

Place the spoiler on the trunk and get it into position, without tapeing it. Then hold it in place and place a strip of painters tape on the trunk lined up with the the top side of the trunk. then place a piece lined up with each of the corners. Now take the tape off. Line it up with the markers and gently place it on there. You can still pull it up an adjust the position. Once you get it in a spot you like, push down hard and go watch some time. Give it a little time for the tape to harden before you drive. I let it sit over night and when i woke up, it was hard as a rock.

somewhat off topic but . . .

Infantry, your statement above makes me rethink having my stillen front lip professionally installed. I have no body work experience, but i generally good with my hands (thats what she said ). I did my own intake without any hickups and my sub/amp install so I guess I'm no fool. Was your front lip easy?

I dont have the front lip... but with a friend (just to hold up the other side for you) the front lip shouldnt be an issue to install yourself...

When adding more tape, my .02 is that where you DO add tape, make sure its level... stacking the tape and making one area thicker than another could cause issues, it should be as level as possible so all pieces of tape are secure....

I know surman brought his to a shop though and they glued it down with some other sort of adhesive though.

meh who knows, my body shop guy whos gona paint it for me is real good, I am all for doing internal work on this car but the external stuff skeeves me out. Electronics make sense . . . body work doesnt haha.

He wont charge me more than 20 bucks to actually do the install, hes a real fair guy, so maybe itll be worth it. Not to mention, he guarantees all his work, if it were to fall off, he would replace/paint a new one for me.

Don't pay anyone to have the lip installed. Thats just dumb. It is a very easy install. It all fits snugley into place and on a level of 1 - 10 i would say it takes the skill level of a 3. I pretty much have the same technical knowhow that you have. A monkey could learn how to peal the tape off and put this thing on. But again, trust the tape. Add a little bit more if you are scared but the tape holds strong. Then screw the 2 screws in and you are done. Took maybe 10 - 15 min

Under normal conditions, the double sided tape will hold. By normal, I mean that you don't use the lip to open and close the trunk... As far as the rockers, you need to drill a few holes: one is in the door jamb to hold the upper corner of it to the body, and the rest are where the screws for your stock rockers are.
